This program is determined to be an educational and research institution that gives dedication to community in the application of national and international level of occupational safety and health sciences, to produce professional staffs that are capable to implement the Occupational Health and Safety Management System in their own occupational sectors. 

The ability that forms the basis of practicing this knowledge is mastery of managerial aspects, both as a practitioner and an academic. Concentration in Occupational Safety and Health is expected to be able to develop widely, both in the industry of goods and services, with alumni who have been educated to be graduates who are creative, innovative and capable.

Educational Goals

  • Preparing and developing national and international human resources, in order to be able to play a role in the development of industry in various sectors, especially the maintenance of industrial hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, and aspects of the work environment.
  • Develop theories through studies and research based on work culture and values of organizations in industry and society, to achieve the highest work productivity.
  • Produce graduates who are able to give enlightenment to all parties involved, in improvements in the industrial work system, to always meet the standards of Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Conduct studies in general and specifically in the field of Occupational Health and Safety.

Length of Education

Effective length of education for this program takes around 24-28 months (4 semesters). Lecture activities are carried out on campus every day. On campus period 3-5 months / semester. At the end of the second semester, students have worked on their research proposal.

Degree

At the end of this program, graduates will be honored by a Master of Public Health Degree.

 

Competencies of Graduates

Competencies of graduates of Occupational Health and Safety concentration include:

  1. Assessment and monitoring of Occupational Health and Safety, occupational diseases, and environmental health aspects in the workplace.
  2. Research and development of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
  3. Organizing and managing Occupational Health and Safety Management System and health aspects of the work environment and neighborhoods around the industry.
