Admission of Students from D-IV Level

Based on experiences over the past few years, the Master of Public Health program also accepts applicants from the D-IV level, with graduates performing as well as those from the undergraduate level. According to the latest legislation, S2 programs can admit D-IV level students, with a matriculation process in place.

Specializations Accepting D-IV Level Applicants

  1. Maternal and Child Health – Reproductive Health (MCH-RH)
  2. Nutrition and Health (NH)
  3. Health Behavior and Health Promotion (HBHP)
  4. Environmental Health (EH)
  5. Occupational Safety and Health (OSH)

Curriculum

The core curriculum of the Master of Public Health program follows the guidelines of the Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPH), consisting of both core and elective specialization courses. The total credit load ranges from 40 to 50 credits.

For D-IV applicants, matriculation will be conducted according to their chosen specialization, such as Maternal and Child Health-Reproductive Health (MCH-RH), Public Health Nutrition, Environmental Health, etc. For D-IV applicants specializing in MCH-RH, particularly those with backgrounds in Midwifery and Nursing, in addition to core general courses (CGC: Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Policy and Management, Environmental Health, and Health Behavior and Promotion), students are required to take modules covering topics such as Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH), Ante Natal Care (ANC), Labor and Delivery Services, Postpartum Services, Family Planning (FP) Programs, Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI), Immunization, Nutrition, and Reproductive Health-Sexually Transmitted Infections (RH-STI).

For other D-IV applicants, the required modules will be adjusted based on the chosen specialization.
